I’m wondering about shipping one set of the SPR to @Glenacius_K, if he could use it to make a small bearing wood yo-yo with it…

I believe there are numerous posts in the mods and maintenance section already. Ya just gotta search for them or check the sticky there. The key is that polycarb yoyos require an acetone process and POM plastics need a hot water process. There’s really not much new in the way of doing it. The main issue is that from what I see, people don’t mod and/or do much of this type of work any more.

Yeah there are a handful of dyed plastic yo-yo picture posts that pop up on Reddit from time to time, but it is rare these days. Can’t dye metal

Recess still does dye runs of the clear First Base. They post advertisement pictures on Instagram all the time

Right, they’re also for sale here on YYE.

HOW SOON WE FORGET

Here’s one I found!

Pretty sure it’s an original Freehand.

Can’t remember who did the mod. Eric Wolff? Does anybody have any ideas?

It plays better than I thought it would. I had quit playing it, because I couldn’t get good binds. I put two Duncan Sili-Stickers in it, and it’s working now.
