Right on. I didn’t know those existed. I’ve gotten a bind from fingerspin on the Dumpster Fire once so far. Still practicing. At the least now I really see how sloppy my fingerspin laceration binds are (and/or how forgiving most yoyo shapes are when it comes to hitting the gap).

So I did this. Not intensively, because of family time, but I put in some time everyday on the DF this past week, and only the DF. Here is what I learned:
Much like 2020, the Dumpster Fire experience tests your patience to the max, becomes a feat of endurance, and in the end you’re not sure if you’re any wiser for it. Years later, I may play the Dumpster Fire to remind me of what this year has been like, and to be thankful that there are more options in life and in yoyoing than what 2020 has wrought. At least with the Dumpster Fire, as compared to 2020 itself, I can appreciate this yoyo as a sort of absurdist yoyo art that I can choose to pick up as the mood strikes (again, unlike 2020 that has imposed a serious personal and professional toll, and one that I cannot choose).
Ok, truth be told, I did learn to get better at snap starts and maaaaybe increased accuracy a bit with the Dumpster Fire, but this doesn’t fit with my narrative about pointlessness 
. You could say that despite its intentionally disturbing design, the DF is still better than the year 2020 because the DF does have a point, and it succeeds at what it sets out to do.

Hahah well someone sold me a gamer light which im excited to get and a ducc v2 is on the way too. So i am also getting serious yoyos as well. But i loved watching dylan and throws n brews do their reviews on the dumpster fire it was hilarious and i want to have the same joy of insanity.
Fingers crossed ill get lucky! Also i just had a crazy idea for a yoyo. One piece of metal with an axle through the middle and caps on the sides to hold bearings, and two strings on each side that would go on the index and ring finger. Wonder if that would work lol
That sounds downright insane. See if you can get ahold of a Nine Dragons and attach some strings to the outside caps somehow and let me know if you can make it work, lol.
I’m glad you’re having fun with yoyos. I’m surprised by the number of people who ask me to bring back the dumpster fire. My response is always the same. “It’s the signature yoyo for the year 2020. Do you WANT 2020 to come out of retirement for another round?” Lol.

Yes. It hasn’t really gotten any better.
Ehh 2020 honestly wasn’t my worst year that probably was 2021 but yeah I think this decade is turning out to be its own dumpster fire. Feel free to re release the dumpster fire end of 2029 as a decade edition in some small batch.

I cant wait to have a horrible weekend with it. I hope USPS runs on time/the eta times took the holiday into account. Otherwise my good yoyos wont arrive either in time for the weekend and ill be sad
