Question(s) about response pad..

Well I have a ProtoStar, and it was working absolutely fine, (main throw), and I know response pads wear out over time, but as i was using it one day, one of the stickers just… Came off. ???
Why? Is this normal? Is it my fault? What could have caused it? I’m buying new ones tomorrow but i’m wondering all this since i’ve never heard about them falling off. And if anything can be done to avoid this so I can do it when I get my new ones
Much thanks in advance for answers

It happens. They can get wet, absorb moisture/oils from the string, which can penetrate and cause the adhesive to fail. They can dry out too, including the adhesive, especially if in very hot environments or even humid environments.

Plus, they can just flat out “fail”, of course it takes a while before they will, like months at the very least.

Smart. Order more pads.

Also smart: You can silicone this yoyo. Just an option!

Don’t worry, there’s nothing you did wrong. You’re fine.

I’d suggest put silicone in it if you can 'cause it holds REALLY well if done right.

Last silicone job I did on my ProtoStar the silicone slowly wore down never tore out.
