I just got a Protostar and so far it has performed past expectations. But is there a way, (or ways) to make it more responsive? I have to double bind it and even then sometimes it doesn’t work. It has the factory bearing, a CenterTrak.
You can put some oil in the bearing to increase the response.

Siliconing it won’t really change the response…
Continue to work on your binds. You should be able to bind it just fine if you have good binding skills, which just comes with practice.
For adding to the response, doing what Mrcnja suggested should help.
