Problem while doing hooks

Whenever im practicing 3.0, the slip knot on my finger get loose and sometimes even comes off my finger. It happened one time over concrete, but somehow i caught it right in time. Is there a way to fix this or is it just my finger?

Make sure the side of the slip knot that has the loop on it is facing your ring finger and pinkie

I tried that but when i do other tricks it slips sometimes too

Hmmmmmm make sure its really tight
Not too tight because it could cut off circulation

Edit: but still really tight

Tried that but it still loosens

Hmmmmmmmmm

Can you send a vid of it happening?

Oh also where on your finger is the string

Its on the upper to middle part of my middle finger

Try moving it a little further back

You could do the double wrap technique. I know some people do that. It cinches down too tight for me. But it definitely won’t go anywhere.

How does that work?

That’s how I wrap it! Doesn’t move at all.

Here’s a quick tutorial

I feel like the loop stays on tighter for me is when I start a new string I have the initial size loop so that the loop meets at the bottom side of finger if that makes sense.

DONT PRACTICE HOOKS OVER CONCRETE.

put chapstick, lip balm, anything burts bees, basically anything waxy on the slipknot loop. don’t go overboard so it gets everywhere, just a little and then wipe it off your hands. that’s how i keep my slippy nylon from flying off my hand

Solid advice
