All great competitors have that meal the night before that preps them for the big competition. Some lean towards Twinkies, Red bull, and Twizzlers, others go more wholesome, yaks milk, tofu, black bean sauté and fresh spring water.
So do you lean towards one of these or somewhere in between? (Burn candles/ incense listen to Gregorian chants?) Inquiring minds want to know!
Personally; I think the best pre-contest meal is to eat so much cake that when you sneeze; frosting comes out your nose. That way if you break a string and your yoyo goes flying; the sugar would make you fast enough to grab the yoyo before it goes off the stage.
