I’m not really sure what to get next for my new yoyo. Right now I have a dark magic 2 but I’m thinking of getting a yyf whip next. The dark magic is a little too heavy for me:/ any suggestions ?
Well, the Whip will definitely be lighter!
If you want something all plastic, you could try the Starlite. I like it better than the Whip.
Dark magic II is too heavy? I like my yoyos on the heavy side.
The Protostar by YYF might be a good way to go, as may be the Starlight. The Speeder II is another good option if you like that metal/plastic thing. Forget the Chaser(I love mine!), it’s 73 grams, way too heavy for you, but I tell you it plays light! The PSG is lighter and cheaper. XCon Pro is smaller and lighter as is the Lyn Fury as well. The Legacy II is lighter too, as is the dv888. I also have 7 CLYW’s and they are all under the DM2’s weight. Maybe an Agape? I have 3 of these and they are absolutely amazing. And NO, none of them are for sale at any price(or for trade)
Most yoyos are lighter than the DM2. Personally I really like the weight of this yoyo. You could take out the caps and that should remove a little weight. However, it may not be enough wieght.
What do you have that at a weight that you like?
I personally feel the Whip is too light, but I still have one and have tons of fun with it anyways.
Also, what kind of budget and material are you looking for? There’s so many good yoyos out there these days. I think having some guidelines might help.

Maybe a protostar or a cafe racer. The cafe racer is on the lighter side of the spectrum
