Address sent. This will be my first experience with a Motion throw, I’m super excited to try it out!
Can I get on the list?
Shipped it out yesterday to @Silver_Sleeper estimated delivery is Monday but ive noticed they estimate usually a day later than it really is.
I got bumped out of rotation…can I get bumped back in?
Sorry if I messed that up I apologize - I have added you
Thank you kindly!
Wanted to give some quick thoughts on what I thought of the Perpetual…I’ve been on more of a mono-metal kick the past few months so I wasn’t sure what to expect. To my surprise it is a very solid feeling bimetal, similar to a mono with the added benefits. Some bimetals kind of have a draggy-type of feel from the weight of the rims but not the Perpetual. It plays really light and nimble with a ton of power and stability. As I said earlier in a post, it reminds me of the Parallel’s bigger brother. I really have enjoyed my time with both the Perpetual and Parallel. Thanks again to @JEA86 for doing this!
Absolutely thanks for the feedback and thanks for participating! Hopefully the package has made it safely to the next spot!
It arrived today, much earlier than expected! Excellent timing because I’m done with my work week and done with my class assignments for the week. That just leaves me, the Perpetual, a fresh Zipline string and a whole lot of time for practice. I couldn’t be happier!
Thanks for letting us know it arrived - take some time enjoy it, and give us your thoughts
Hello everyone,
I’ve been really excited to try something from Motion, so I was stoked to get to throw a Perpetual. It’s a beautiful throw with excellent quality. However, what really stood out to me was that it feels/plays like a mono with spin time of a bimetal. Which for me is best case scenario.
I’m a newer thrower and I’ve really been able to level up my skill during this time. I know a yoyo itself doesn’t make someone better. However, the Perpetual was so fun to throw that it made me practice a lot more than I normally would have, so, in that sense, it actually did make me better!
Overall, I’m super grateful to be able to experience a Motion throw and be a part of this. Thank you all!
I believe @NuroVolt7 is up next. Message me your address and I’ll get it shipped out soon!
If you want to see me having fun with the Perpetual here’s a video
It was easy to see that you were really connecting with that throw in that video. It’s great because the Perpetual is super stable and spins forever. They will come up on the BST from time to time. There are also some very interesting throws under the “Upcoming” tab on Motion’s website. They make great throws. Thanks for posting the video… it was awesome.
Thanks for sharing the video - great job btw on this, and thank you for taking part!
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it too ![]()

It’s here!
And of course there’s a metric ton of accessories. First impressions: I agree with others when I say this does indeed feel like a monometal, while still being an absolute powerhouse. It lives up to the fact that the Parallel was based on this model. This thing slays!!!
Thanks for participating - it was our freshman YoYo and we still absolutely love the thing
Nice! I’m not sure who included the white Zipline strings, I think they are called 20/20? but I really enjoyed those alot.
Yea, that’s what they’re called. This is my first experience with anything from Zipline so if anyone if familiar with the 20/20 blend, please tell me about it! It seems like it is a poly string but is of a higher quality than the bulk poly I use. And I love that it’s long!
I made this template, I can use it as much as I want.
This yoyo is absolutely amazing! As a debut throw, @JEA86 and his team knocked it out of the park and into orbit!
Looks aside, I have a theory why some have commented that it feels like a monometal instead of a rim heavy H-shaped bimetal: the hub design. That convex hub —that has become the design signature for all of Motion’s releases— has the effect, I believe, of offsetting all that rim weight by having more material on the hub. This is genius considering the fact that this is a yoyo that puts a heavy emphasis on power and stability. It spins for weeks! The result is a yoyo that is insanely powerful and stable, but does not feel like a brick in any way, shape, or form. Quite the opposite, actually. Living up to its name, the Perpetual Motion will keep on spinning and will almost encourage you to throw it again after a bind. It is controllable and also feels great when played at a more medium speed. I get the suspicion that there won’t be any resistance from the yoyo during elements that change momentum, like redirects, however.
Also, unlike my experience with the Parallel, this one is quite smooth! There are only two nitpicks I can think of that people may get hung up on. First, the width. At around 44mm, this yoyo may be a little too narrow for someone’s liking. They may find they are missing more tricks than normal. My response: git gud simply work on your accuracy and hand placement. This yoyo is fabulous for learning new tricks, especially technical ones. Isn’t cleaning up your form a part of that?
Second: this yoyo was a little snaggy. I attribute this to my own skill issue. The string I was using (Zipline 20/20) was only a wee bit thicker than the bulk poly I normally use. Anyone who prefers thicker string may want to swap for a thinner one before trying this throw… or go nuclear and swap the bearing and/or pads, lol. Then again, I doubt the pads currently on this yoyo were the ones it started its PIF journey with.
So, full disclosure: this has been the best PIF and best yoyo overall that I have had the joy and privilege of throwing. @JEA86, you killed it with your debut.
@SlowThrow, you’re next. I already have your addy from the Flying Lemon PIF, and I will drop it at the post office later today. You will NOT be disappointed with this one!
Thank you so much for the kind words
