all yoyos in the FTY series were 7068 (except the project ti) and designed to be loved like an old skool throw. if you can find them on the bst they can be had for a decent price… project y, pv44 and the 138…
this is huge praise considering your bst threads
Hahaha yeah I did. After that video I had broadcast on our story that for every vote “Yes” would result in a hit against the ground, every “No” would result in a drop. One of the “No’s” resulted in the yoyo being tossed to the side, bounced a few feet before falling into my pool. Had to fish it out. Here were the final results after the complete test.
Best of luck finding a Reflection if you are looking for one, one person owns ~17 of them including the damage test unit
I like a good ding, those are gouges. Yikes.

Two things, what constitutes a throw? ‘Cause I can’t imagine a yoyo taking more than, like, one drop from shoulder height onto the ground.
And one person owns roughly 17 of them!? They must really like that yoyo.
A throw would be a standard breakaway into the concrete:
Wow! That’s really durable!!
I could almost hear it…
Multiply that sound by 54.
On the subject of durable yo-yo’s I’ve found the forma (our latest release) soaks up damage pretty well. I have a few dings in my prototype and it still spins smooth.
Aspen also soaked up @Aridnavleez’s abuse pretty well but I would say it much more fragile in comparison due to the design + weird bearing seat issues when used with an NSK Plat
(Taco Bell sound echoes in the background)
CLYW: Avalanche
MYY: N12 Shark Honor
Shellyoyo: 001 Monometal
I know people probably will be surprised…but the MagicYoyo Z01 has been through hell and back with me and still has only minimal vibe.
I’ve had to push the rings back on a bunch of times….but it still plays excellent with no noticable string vibe.
Same with the Yoyofactory Flame, C3 design Galaxy Diver V2 (7075) (which I use as my main 5a yoyo and has had some SERIOUS impacts on my tile floor.
All in all, MOST yoyos are much more durable than people think as long as you don’t mind a little vibe.
I think the most durable yo-yo I have is one I got from Spock on the planet Vulcan.
It is made from a highly durable alloy of transparent aluminum.
Sadly… I can’t find it at the moment.
And even if I could… It doesn’t photograph well.
…. The second most durable yo-yo I have is no doubt, the Duncan MG that Steve Brown sent me years ago. When he was on team Duncan, he did a lot of traveling. When the MG‘s first came out, Steve got a clear one that kept for literally years as he traveled over the planet, beating the tar out of it. He didn’t torture the yo-yo necessarily on purpose. The yo-yo just happen to take a beating in the process of Steve doing demonstrations and what not with it. He would walk the dog to a little offspring. Just do a crazy trick and it would get away…Etc..
I don’t think it was an intentional endurance test? I think it was more of a, I’m throwing everything but the kitchen sink… And since I don’t have a kitchen sink, I use this yo-yo instead, lol.
I was talking to Steve one day and just happened to mention or suggest or ask… However, you wanna put it… Hey Steve, if you ever get tired of beating up that sucker you could send it to me. Not an exact quote but some along those lines.
sometime later, Steve sent me a box of parts that I could use for some of my experiments. Wrapped up real nice in the corner of the box of those miscellaneous parts, was that old Duncan MG yo-yo. No message no nothing. Just a yo-yo that’s probably bounced off the ground in at least a dozen different countries. I cleaned it up somewhat… But some of the gouges, obviously can’t do much about that.
But after being used and getting somewhat battered in the process, this thing still spins like new money. I guess it’s pretty much my most prized possession because it took a licking and just keeps on ticking.
I would say the most durable yo-yo I’ve ever personally purchased is an easy one. The yo-yo factory titanium dream will not accept death as an option. After years of people asking me if I ever walk the dog with a yo-yo, I decided to dedicate one of my Titanium Dreams to the No Mercy Level. Having a personal habit of playing with strings that are just a little bit too long, the Dream has bounced off a multitude of surfaces. It seems to laugh at pain.

The Duncan Barracuda ive had it since i started yoyoying and its been droped from a building, and been thrown around in a bag with hard objects and its still my best playing yoyo.
