Hey all! I’m headed to Nats this weekend and was going to try to bring a small number of throws. I’m aiming for 10 or less. What sort of strategies do you use for picking which throws to bring? I’m thinking I would bring a dedicated player for each of my preferred styles, 0A (Butterfly) 2A (720 pair), and one for 1A/5A (probs a Shooting Star, maybe a Free Solo or Fat Tire 20/20) but I’m not sure what else. Do you bring favorites to show off or leave them safely at home? Do you bring throws you’d be willing to trade or sell?
i think the answer is yes to all of those questions. i’d be bringing my favorites, the ones i’m always reaching for and room for some purchases
I’ve got a zero gravity bag that would get filled with whatever I am bringing as long as it fits it comes.
I have two bags of 8ish apiece. I was maybe going to fill one…
Honestly just bring a couple. You’re gonna buy lots of throws there and that new throw smell is what you’re gonna wanna play while youre there.
Bring no yoyos so you have to buy a new YoYo. solid plan
I mean I was planning to buy…
This is the way
Well I’m sure I overpacked but to close the loop, here is what I packed.
2x 720s
2x 2020s
2x Hornets
Reboot
Free Solo
Kasm
No Jive
20-eh-teen with replacement axle
My personally printed:
Cardigan
Brute
Pixie
And 1 Short Circuit top
I’m also going to have 3D printed counterweights to give away and a bunch of @pyrotechnic’s Moth ballz to give away as well.
I’m kind of pumped I can just pick and choose what to bring each day, I’ll have some new stuff people should try on me at all times though
Are you bringing a big case? These two are my only cases and I wanted to travel light, with just a backpack and a weekender.
The most I would bring is an Fov 24 gsqured cases but probably will bring my soft myy cases and switch out(live close by im commuting) what I bring each day but the stuff people should ask to try I’ll have everyday
What I did last year
Open suit case:
Throw Clothes in the box
Throw Loose yoyos in the box
Worked out.
I wish I had this power…
NYC seems like a great place for Nats…
