Other hobbies

Other than yo-yos, I collect legos, guitars, and books! I don’t really have a place for them all so they’re kinda just scattered throughout my house.

Another pretty impressive collection of mine is my Debt collection. Seriously, it’s impressive. 800 numbers call me all day long just to talk about it :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Instead of commenting on collecting debt, I was gonna say “dysfunctional romantic relationships”

hits a little close to home though :joy:

Omg, this just reminded me that anytime I was able to make a perfectly usable (I had small hands as a kid) stub of a pencil, I would save them in an empty jewelry/ring box. I had completely forgotten about this box but my parent were cleaning up their house a few years ago and told me to come over and pick up anything I’d want to keep.

Well, little did I know, I was in for a drive to deep nostalgia. The not-nearly-as-filled-as-I-remember Ring box of my pencil stubs was there. I actually don’t write as much as I used to and when I do, it’s typically a special occasion, which means, I pick one of my fountain pens from my humble collection.

Open the following spoiler only if you want to experience psychological/nostalgic trauma

In any case, I’m sorry to say, chat, but the ring box did not make the cut

Also, I’m not a pencil sharpener hobbist, but I preferred a smooth sharpening experience to a crank one (that one, big blue sharpener with 4 holes for multiple sizes). There was only ever on crack sharpener that felt smooth and also left my pencil smooth af and it was in a classroom in elementary school. I’m sure it’s long gone by now

You either die a hero or you live long enough to become a villian

One of the few good things to come out of TDK (besides all the dank memes of course)

My son has got really into our slack board

This is not the kind of slack boards I was expecting to see. I need a vacation

Thanks! Yep, it just takes standard staples. You can spin the disk on the bottom to have it staple in different patterns too. It’s definitely showing its age with the worn plating. Seems pretty indestructible otherwise though!

That thing looks like pure milled steel. This is my heaviest duty, also with the variable anvil.

Touch this dude’s stapler and he’ll burn down the whole building

That thing is awesome. Looks like you could stomp on it to staple your paperwork and it’d be fine.

A friend’s father passed away in the early 1990s. I helped my friend and his mom clean out their house, and I found this in his dad’s office. They let me keep it, and I have used it ever since. I have no idea how old it is, but it’s 8 inches long, and weighs almost 19 ounces. It’s a stapler and a weapon!

What’s up with that nutella? Secret stash? Or is it just storage?

It was a gift from an old girlfriend. There is actual Nutella in there, but it’s old. More of a decoration than anything.

That one is mostly plastic. Look up vintage swingline 747 and see the 100% steel version. Or even the swingline 333. There’s a cool one.
