Are hubstacks without the screw still patented? Would a post without anything installed that could theoretically fit an A sized bearing and oring infringe on that?
The current patent covers the o-ring attachment and the hole in the cap through which you install the o-ring.
I’m curious as to how heavy they were? Comparable to even the brass? I figured this was attempted I just was hoping perhaps enough time has passed that maybeeee it was worth taking another look into ?

Krakens, Par Avions and Deeper States on Flickr.
(I ignored Kraken until a few months ago. Mistake.)
I see some additional red options.
I just picked up a couple 888s recently and have been really enjoying the hubstacks and had been wondering why One Drop hadn’t made them… that is a shame to hear the protos were too heavy. I hope someday it can be revisited but I understand ROI and all that.
That red/pink color is very nice. Gunmetal Deeper State is also tempting. I’m still hoping for a Cerakote run of Deeper States though.
Took too long decoding on a Par Avion color and the pinks sold out. Clear it is.
It is really awesome to see the OneDrop store so full!
I’m SUPER stoked about this design. After trying more things built like the thruline I started to realize why so many people weren’t super for it. This one deals with the criticisms I saw the most in the most healthy way. Sized down a bit, shape is refined a bit, etc. Hoping this is a banger.
The gen 2 54 is amazing and so if that’s any indication then I’m stoked for this one
I don’t really see the resemblance
He’s right in that they are both extreme rim weight models.
Kind of reminds me of the Prescription, but without the grooves and more rim weight.
