Hello everyone! I scored a beautiful Summit in “Crime Scene” by One Drop. I’ve never heard or seen this colorway before then. Any information on it would be great, is this a rarer summit to hold onto? I’m not even 100% sure on the name, Google didn’t yield much. I know the more gory one drop colorways ar pretty lucrative to a lot of collectors. Im hoping someone can answer my question. Here some pictures for tax! Hope everyone is having a phenomenal Friday!

It’s just another colorway that got a name, it’s not any more or less rare than other random colors, and not more or less desirable to people unless they really love or hate this specific color combo.
Colorways being named isn’t to signify them being rare or special, but instead to just give the inspiration for the color choices used as a bit of fun additional flavor to the yoyo. There’s so many random named colorways people collectively forgot about because they just were only used on a single yoyo, or only a few.
This colorway kinda reminds me of the X-Files lol. I wonder if that might’ve been where the name came from.
Actually Dexter was just wrapping up and had its finale around the time this would’ve been released, I feel like this might be the more likely inspiration source.

I love colorway names some times they take on a life of their own. People will add and subtract things from the name. I try and find the release notes from the manufacture.
Even if you have the manufacture saying the colorway is ( $&@?!$ ). The next run with the exact same set up, due to variables that are too difficult and too many to control the colorway can be different shade or depth and look very different from the run before and or after.
One of my favorite Colorways I have seen was
Shark Attack it was on a Summit it look very similar to yours with clear whitish base, a blue wash into the clear and red and black splashes.

My wife’s a huge Dexter fan so I’ll let her know lol
It’s different for different brands. The one offs in other brands fetch high dollar so I was just curious.
I absolutely love the X Files and just started watching it lol
