One Drop Virtuoso?

EDIT: Ordered a new throw.

I’m coming back after a 7+ year hiatus - last new throw I bought was the Protostar in 2009. I’m pretty set on the OD Virtuoso (first OD) but I haven’t been able to find very much info on it (been looking at OD’s every day the last week lol).

I like the inspiration and story behind it: https://ethanmcheung.com/virtuoso/

Less available but the only other OD’s that I’m really into are:

  • Kuntosh 5QV (Seems sick but finding a mint one is the issue)
  • MC (7075 ver)

Thoughts on these? What should my first OD/throw back be?

Virtuoso is a solid yo!
If you’re a fan of the shape and aesthetic I’d say go for it.
The only negative I’d have for it is the glossier/tacky finish that more recent ODs all have.

Virtuoso is a very solid all-rounder. General shape is very competition oriented, but the bowl-ish cup adds a decent amount of centerweight and maneuverability. (I have one FS if you’re interested dm me)

Top Deck is also very good and in stock here.

Welcome back! I had a Virtuoso not too long ago. It was pretty dang good. It’s not my favorite but I’d say it’s a good step into One Drop. Throw a stick in a room filled with One Drops and you’ll hit something good.

I’ve got the original Kuntosh and I’m dying to try the 5000qv haha. That’s where I’d go. Or a Top Deck like @Ducto said. Solid choices.
