I’m having trouble getting the shields off my one drop 10 ball so are there any tips on getting them out?
Sharper, thinner needle, and somehow manage to grip the shield a bit so that and the C-clip won’t move.
Also try going after the other side of the C-clip. It might go easier that way.
This. I make a habit of using the same needle every time I deshield a bearing (I just keep the needle in my case, for ease of access), but every once in a while I have to replace the needle because they get dull and they are no longer effective. You want the needle to be as sharp as possible.
As studio mentioned, if one side of the clip refuses to come out, rotate and try to pry the other end of the c clip, with the needle of course.
