If only it was feasible for there to be a Genesis AND a Supernova in the $100 pack… all those “Genesis or Supernova?” threads would be resolved (if the askers happened to notice the sale) in one simple way: “Both!”
The Kentaro pack, well, I found the one I want. That was fast. Unfortunately, I need the money for something else. I have no interest in the Chaotic, but the Proton is something I’m interested in. While I know I could offload the Chaotic on BST, I won’t have time between now and when I receive the item to put it on BST before I have to take a trip.
So angry I gotta pass on this one. oh well. That’s how it goes sometimes. I’m gonna say, this is definitely the best deal to date. I thought Day 1 was good, but Day 3 is just, well, amazing.
If that’s day 3… I can’t imagine how awesome the rest of the packs are gonna be!
what really bumms me out on those deals though are the international shipping costs: $35 as the cheapest option? :o And those high shipping costs will hurt you double once customs are applied because they are due on both the products and shipping costs.
Customs? YYE only charges for the items exact listed amount and the exact amount of shipping. For the USA if you order something for 20 bucks, it’s 20 bucks no added fees. And shipping is 3 bucks (for me) and they just add the 3 bucks for a total of 23 on the dot :).
Well, : maybe :). Na, I mean by price wise, 90 bucks is a lot. The deal is awesome but I mean the lowest deal so far was Shaqler pack for 35. : : And you get the most yoyos : ::).
This deal is killer. $90 is the standard price point for an all metal yoyo these days. There’s a few at $85 and even fewer below that. The proton was a great deal for $105. It’s a completely killer deal for $90 plus a FREE $90 Chaotic! Both of these YYF/TPs are outstanding throws, guys.
Yes, mathematically, the Shaqler pack was a 60% savings ($87 for $35). For 3 plastics.
This is still a 54% savings, nearly $200 ($195) worth of yoyos for $90. For two stellar metals.
This pack wins so far. Makes me wonder how they can top it.
Maybe you did overlook that I’m talking about international shipping. And since the US is outside of Europe, custom duties apply to anything and everthing that’s imported. If I order something for $20, I have to add $11.45 in shipping plus 19% on everything for customs. That $11.45 shipping method remains available until I hit roughly $90 (actually, $89 will do it also), then it’s $35 for the cheapest shipment. Again, 19% customs will come on top of that.
And while we’re at it: in October 2012 I ordered a Gelada and had to pay $30 in shipment. Now the Gelada will cost $5 more in shipment because the lowest rate for yoyos costing $90 and over is $35 now instead of $30. Could be that it’s already been discussed at length before but since I don’t order that often here, I had just noticed this.
