Hey guys, Joshâs yoyo design is being produced! There were only be four, so contact D4kn355 quick if you are interested. They utilize ODâs side effect system, and are being machined by Foxland
"We need $175 more to reach our goal for 4 proto-types - one will be passed around the team (they must be trusted to send to to one another after one or 2 weeks of play) and then must come back to us, and we will require input and or reviews - Any Donations to reach our goal would be greatly appreciated! (we have already acquired $200 from our pockets, Help make this become a reality)
The yoyoâs name will be Vitality, It will roughly be 56mm in Dia, and 44mm width, and will use the One Drop Side Effect Axle system.
Landon Balk (3YO3) will be helping re-design my original CAD file (design was originally done by me) to accept Side Effects. David has graciously given me permission to use his design, and even provided me with the CAD file for the Side Effect taper.
Alvin from Foxland Precision will be making our prototype run.
There will only be 4 this time around, just to see how it plays and such. Let me (Josh) or Jake know if you are able to donate or help our with any kind or fundage, I may loan out my personal proto to anyone who donates! I will post pictures of it as soon as Landon is able to work on it and render me some!
All the Best!
Josh "
So as you read, Josh needs help getting the final funding for this yoyo! Anybody who is willing to donate, please contact me or Josh (d4kn355). It would be very much appreciated, and he may even lend you his own for a little while!
Jake had posted on the youtube video itself about it. He believes it was probably caught on the axle I believe, but for a legitimate answer, you should just wait for Jakes response
I have been using BYYS for probably about 9 or 10 months, and I have never ever had this happen to a string, not even a normal manufactured string! It was a very tragic event, I apologize for Haruâs misfortune.
I found that string break very⌠suspicous to tell you the truth.
We have sold almost 3,000 strings, and have never had a single issue about our stringsâ durability. Even on string eating throws, like Anti-Yos, we donât have as much of an issue as other strings. What I think could of happened is when he was assembling the yoyo, he may have caught the string on the axle, which when new has razor sharp edges.
In the string making process, that would be the last spot where a manufacturing defect should occur. and if the thread was weaker than average, it wouldnât have stood up to the twisting (to make the string) which has lots of force.
That is the only way I can think of something like this happening. It must have been a user error. In the manufacturing process, it is impossible for that to happen. I do feel bad though, especially for Wilson, who is now getting a proto returned with lots of damage.
But I believe it was my own sig string, dubbed âSteezy Stringâ Iâve never had any problems with that, let alone other strings. I donât know, I just find it hard to believe it atually broke and nothing happened on his end
