So let me get this straight. Each skilled player (aznnboyaZ in my case) is being matched up with an unskilled player (me, in this example), and the public has to decide between the two? All the unskilled players might as well just forfeit then. Not that I’m going to, I just love making videos for the sake of making videos.
That’s exactly it! Sports brackets are arranged based on how the team is ranked in the nation. (As far as I know, not much of a sports guy) This way, the better teams will have a higher chance of advancing. My bracket is similar, but much more randomized. because there’s no definitive “ranking” for yoyoers.
It might be too late, but here’s a suggestion. What if you do a bracket for example, of 2 skilled against each other and 2 unskilled against each other, and then the winners go at it; it is similar to the thing you have but at least the first round is more balanced IMO
I think we should have AT LEAST til the end of the week
And Im against hippos, Im dead xD i would surrender but I lost my white flag :-\ but i love making videos though, Ill give it my all… all hippos has to do is start the video, improvise some basic(for him) tricks and he has the win haha ;D
I’m not really understanding this “skilled vs. unskilled” talk. It’s a tournament. There will be a winner. If anything, if you suspect your opponent is “more skilled” this will let you milk your power moves early and throw together the strongest possible 30 seconds in an attempt to make it to round 2!
My dad beats me every time we play chess. I beat the whole family every time we play Settlers of Catan. It’s not like we’re stopping playing games just because there’s somebody who’s the odds-on favourite to win.
Just fulfil your commitment. Make the best video you can. It doesn’t matter who you’re up against.
Here’s how the pairing were chosen:
I had the two lists. Each person on the list was assigned a number, 1-16. My cousin, Kris (who is also an emergency substitute in case someone fails to submit a video during the first round) Was asked to choose two numbers randomly, 1-16. Each number he chose corresponded to a person on that respective list. We did this 16 times. Once for each pairing. We did the same thing for location on the actual bracket by assigning each separate pairing a random number, 1-16. And placed them on the bracket accordingly. (1 is at the top left, 16 is at the bottom right)
Sorry if I cast the wrong impression and made people think I was whining or something. There’s nothing I love more than a challenge (looking at you aznnboyaZ XD). I just wanted to make sure I understood the format (I’m very unfamiliar with pretty much anything sport-related).
I’m Sure you’re gonna do fine!
i’m Honestly not that good. My Tricks are all Simple maneuvers
