hahah funny strings.
Nope. The white string is Yotricks High End string.
I leave tails- in case my string streches ( i hate it when that happens )
There is also a different type of slipknot that you can only do with tails- it is more secure and can be useful.
Doesn’t burning the end of the string leave a hard, possibly sharp, point on the string? And really, who doesn’t like a little tail??
Bruh. That swirl though!
@codinghorror Says the man with a super crappy fake Zippo???
Dude this is America.
Don’t be lazy. Cut that stuff
Don’t let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace.
What? I have a real zippo. It is the copper one. I did replace the internals with a butane assembly because I got tired of the lighter fluid evaporating every week…
I find your lack of faith disturbing.
Never found that to be the case.
Only mention it because I work with paracord a lot and if I’m not careful the burnt ends can be uncomfortable. But go on wich ya bad selves!
You don’t miss the smell of the lighter fluid? I don’t even smoke anymore and, aside from utility, that’s why I still carry my Zippo
If you are careful and only do what is necessary to keep it from unraveling parachord and other thicker ropes come out just fine. Just heat it enough to start to melt, then smooth out and compress with your fingers. No need to get a flaming end.
I try an be a little more careful with paracord… if it’s not melted correctly, the inner strands may separate from the burnt end and cause bunching as I braid, twist, etc.
