It doesn’t for me! I don’t really see how it could interfere with play.
If they are an inch or so, I don’t bother to cut them. 2+ inches and I just trim.
I’ve never in my life burned the ends with a lighter.
Live a little, man! Also playing with fire is just plain dangerous kids. be safe!
What’s the point of burning the end?
So the end threads don’t fray out. I just cut that part kinda short.
Those are too long for my taste. They get wrapped around the slip knot part when I have a yoyo in my pocket.
So it doesn’t fray and stays neat & tidy.
I have been tying a knot about an inch out on the tail and cutting it there. I like it. It doesn’t interfere or feel akward at all. The biggest benefit to having it for me is it allows me to open the slip knot alot quicker and cleaner.
I’m gonna try that. Maybe I’ll like it. I’ve just always done it the other way but I’m willing try your 1” idea!
Here is an example with my trusty MC and my own string. I love these strings! Every once in a while (more than I care to admit), I will get a knot in the string and I can pull it off my finger and undo the knot and put back on and finish or bind. The tail makes it so easy.
Well, if there’s a practical reason other than “I’m super lazy” then I guess tails could be… sort of… OK?
It’s practical for me. I never used to do it until a couple weeks ago. Now I do it on every string. It also keeps the loop intact when wrapped up.
I will absolutely agree, more than an inch or so is crazy.
I use Slackies, so no tail OR cutting.
Yes! I do this too!
I prefer my yoyo strings uncircumcised
either your wasting your string,or you are lazy either your height is small, whatever your telling that it does not effect your play may be true. but the string does not look attractive. I think for you looks don t matter. i mean the string looks?
Or the string is long.
Did you use yyf trickshot spool to make ?
