Non yoyo related photography

Thanks! I’ve spent a few years perfecting my gritty black and white conversion skills.

The clarity slider and structure slider in combo with some other little tricks achieve my style

I don’t know hardly anything about photography but I have looked through this thread more than a few times to marvel. I don’t know how you make those pictures look so good, Russ but I’m impressed!

Those pictures of GregP and his kid especially put a smile on my face. =]

Probably isn’t a great photo and its just a cheap old point and shoot, but I was happy with catching the shot considering how this guy was jumping around. Jumping spiders are amazingly curious and friendly if you are slow, gentle and deliberate in your movements. After I was done playing with him I put him in my garden in a safe place. Caught this picture before I got him to settle down while he was charging on the garage floor. lol. The rest of the pictures I got of him were pretty blurry.

Great capture sloppy binds I love the jumping spider, like you said these little critters are extremely inquisitive and very fun to interact with. Plus they do a great job at keeping the pest bugs numbers low.

I love how many colors and sizes they come in as well. For not knowing anything about photography I think you did a good job with that photo.

Also feel free to post in here anything and everything photo related I love seeing the world through other people’s eyes!

Took a walk through the woods of Old Mission Peninsula in Northern Michigan ;D

Thanks, Snafu! I have some pictures of some tiny versions of camel spiders that we have out here too, but they are on a hard drive I don’t have access to at the moment. I don’t play with those the same way because they are mean nasty little things with a painful bite. They take chunks of flesh if you try. They have suction cups on their front feet so they can climb glass which just enhances their freakishness. =P They stare at you and grind their nasty jaws together.

Thanks for sharing, LinksLegionaire. That looks like a great way to spend the day in such a beautiful place!

I only really enjoy the little jumpers, anything else with 8 legs either belongs in the cages or smooshed…

Really cool stuff here! Thanks for sharing.

I love seeing this adventure you and your friend/s took it’s not a place I’ll ever get to go and it was cool to be able to feel like I was walking down that trail with you.

Great mushroom shots! Keep yo the cool visual journal if your outings as these will be the god times you’ll Beale to look back on when things get tough in the future. I don’t mean like catastrophic or anything, but if you move away for college or something and get home sick these will be perfect Visual memories.

Again thanks for sharing. I wish more people would share

Figured i would share my dog. The picture is so-so but i was happy to catch her mid-itch. The photo has a lot of personality to it.

I like this one because it is rather difficult to capture a good picture at a rave. But i did pretty good. LIC EUGENE 2013 REPRESENT. BORGORE KILLED IT.

And this one because everyone loves a good ramen burger.

For being no photographer and visiting out of boredom I’d say a few things

1st. thanks for coming and Contributing
2nd. Really nice perspective, emotion and content (dang it now I’m hungry lol).
3rd. For not being photographer you sure did a more
Job picking up and displaying the feelings you wanted to and made it easy for me to feel as if I were crowd surfing or ready to Knosh down on that burger!

Welcome to my thread and I hope you’ll contribute more as you have time or find photos you find you feel strongly about.

I miss the rave days in the early and mid 90’s I lived the rave lifestyle and it was awesome I’m just not sure my body would enjoy them anymore though. They were a great networking tool and just really awesome seeing people from every walk and class of life.

Well thanks again for sharing I like the photos you chose to share and allowing me major trip down memory lane!
