Ambition is an absurd 5a yoyo due to its power and stability. I tried one at worlds and it is
(also) reminiscent of the Galaxy Diver 7075v2 but with a more pleasant shape (which is also a very good 5a throw) and bigger diameter.
For less expensive options i would recommend the C3 Breakout, Duncan Evolve (Crescendo should be decent for it too but i haven’t tried one to confirm it), C3 Ghost IX (although expensive for a plastic, it is cheaper than a bimetal still), and the Mk1 Dynames.
Yeah, glad to know the Ambition is good for the stability, I figured it would! I have a Galaxy Diver 7075 V2 that I (eventually) plan to main 5A with, but I also have a whole case for 5A setups that includes the Diver, a beater Hydrogen Crash, Thruline and Plastic 000 (for funsies).
Knowing it’s comparable to the Diver also has me excited to try it so I have a frame of reference. Thanks Ben, appreciate the input! <3

I wanted to love this yoyo so badly. I truly did. But it’s just too heavy feeling for me. Felt sluggish and like it was lagging behind my movements, otherwise, it’s a GREAT bimetal.
Play assessment might be a bit off because it’s been actual months since I played with this yoyo, I made notes for yoyos I tried with their ratings at worlds
Play: Competitive

Speed: Sluggish
Controllability: Direct Control

Value: Average
Bind: Average
Sturdiness: Play Hard
IMO this is quite fair and honest for Anceps because many I talked to feel the same for hefty feeling and this is totally not for everyone. Value is better than average for the 7075 bi-metal compare to majority of bimetal.
Still it is great yoyo, I think it deserve high spot in rank A.
-4 gram might be too much since JaeHwi came from Something and he is familiar with Anglam-s which are 67+ gram. May be reduce down to 67.5g is still great for wide yoyo.
Fast yoyo but its size is restrictive, making it hard to land tricks. It felt like playing with an undersized yoyo.

If you can buy this yoyo you’re in a different tax bracket than me. Consider donating your cordovan leather boots and Versace sunglasses to someone who needs them (me). At least it’s good. Felt kinda hollow and nimble; not particularly solid but still good and generally capable.

If you put the enjoyment level of this yoyo on a graph, it’d be an exponential function where the Y is the enjoyment and the X is the age of the player.
It sucks major league buns for modern tricks but they’re… doable. It is unresponsive after all.
But it is fun. Oldheads rejoice.
