Materials - 7075(?) W/ Alu Body & PC Rings
One of the most hype yoyos in the competitive scene right now. At Worlds basically everyone was trying to either get their hands on this or try it. Not a single person I’ve met has said they thought this yoyo sucked or that they didn’t like it.
And yeah- I get it. It’s insanely good. Based on performance alone it could easily be SS-Tier. But there’s one glaring issue.
This yoyo is SO fatiguing to use. Forget using this yoyo if you’re physically exhausted. Didn’t sleep well and still feeling groggy? Muscles just not fired up properly for the day? You’ll feel it.
It has a VERY forward presence and because it’s on the heavier side, you feel it. The Savage is CRAZY powerful. Slightly above average speed, stability is insane. In most cases, a yoyo built like the savage would be hard to control but because it has such a forward presence and it’s heavy, it’s not the worst thing to control. Fairly average in that regard.
This yoyo is a beast for zoning and zontals in particular. When I asked pros what they thought of this yoyo before I got it, literally all of them said “It makes hard tricks easy”
This yoyo definitely fits the bill for a yoyoer like Ayumu Kasuga. Yoyorecreation claims it’s perfect for players looking to be aggressive and high-speed, they’re not lying.
I’d rate it higher but this yoyo can be exhausting. Definitely not for everyone either.

Sturdiness: Be Gentle(?)
Feels like for Savage Speed and Controllability should have higher rate and possibly move overall to S-tier. Since if trying this out of nowhere could be overwhelmed but for competition, players are already used to with the weight.
Another opinion of mine for speed and control, this is leaning to extreme style so either you go fast and “crazy” or keep it slow and flow, no in between, which Savage is built for.
would like to request for anceps, devotion, noir, and ambition if you tried all those please. Thank you!
I’ve tried half of those, anceps and noir. I’ll get to them eventually I think.
For now though
W1LD | Wilder | SS-Tier
Specs:
Diameter - 56.87mm
Width - 48.21mm
Weight - 64.8g
Materials - 7075 Alu Body w/ SS Rims
My favorite yoyo. Like a good middle ground between the Miracle and the GTR-JS. Probably one of my favorite colorways of all time with the summer stars colorway too.
Solid feeling, very maneuverable. The pacing isn’t particularly fast like the GTR-JS, but its weight doesn’t feel as forward as the Miracle’s weight feels. A very very nice middle ground. I think the only thing I’d tweak is to give the rim a slight curve.
Really good for just about anything. Crazy good for zontals and zoning in particular.

W1ld Supremacy
The first triple threat on the list in SS-Tier is W1LD, with the Wilder, Wilderness, and Dino of the Wild
Should it count because Dino of the Wild is a collab?
I’d say yes, I would count it for either one of the brands.
W1LD | MILD | A-Tier

My current EDC. Really really good but it’s overshadowed by the new Milder, which lends itself to being a bit more maneuverable, which, by extension, makes the Milder more pleasant (for me). The added width of the new Milder also tends to make it a bit better suited for modern play.
This yoyo has some similarities in design philosophy to the Grasshopper 2.0, though the Mild doesn’t feel as dense and is slightly more maneuverable than the Grasshopper 2.
As for the Mild on its own; there’s a reason I like using it as my EDC.
The Mild has the tendency to make other yoyos feel very maneuverable and fast because of how slow it moves. The Mild definitely leans into that power-over-speed design philosophy, but it luckily doesn’t fall into the pitfall that some other yoyos in this category can fall into where it also is an incredibly fatiguing and heavy feeling in play. The Mild moves slowly, but it doesn’t do so the same way other yoyos of this archetype do by sucking the energy out of the yoyoer, it’s not dragging on the movements of the player. Going fast with this yoyo is a no-go, but you’re free to do what you want for just about everything else. The controllability and stability of this yoyo make it incredibly easy to chill with, practice with, hang out with, etc. The Mild is more than capable of busting bangers, it can absolutely tear through zontal combos and generally isn’t as restrictive with zoning as well. I don’t know… this yoyo is just really good for just about everything aside from going fast. If it was just a bit more naturally quick-paced I’d place it higher but overall it’s still good.
The rim interface is sus though, I’ve had to re-set the rims a couple times, though every time I do the yoyo becomes perfectly smooth… so, idk?
Binds are a bit slippy, even with Shore 30 pads.
The Mild is unrestricted comfort. Easy to reach for; easy to play with.

lol I had more to say about this than I thought
From what I understand, most current YYR models use 6061 aluminum unless otherwise specified. I reached out to Komari Taro via email to ask if they still use 7075 aluminum, but they declined to disclose the material.
I’m not sure why they keep it under wraps, it seems they’re following the trend of JT who also avoids sharing details about their alloy choices especially the current release of kohei’s new sig TESRACT
