Non-Video Gingie Reviews & Tierlist

Doesn’t even look like a swan. Neck to body ratio is all off.

Maybe the 10mm axle represents the NECCCC

Do you have mid/undersized yoyos that you like? I’m curious if you think it’s more your diameter preference or is it these yoyos specifically (canopy al, swan) that are lacking

Gosh it would terrify me to have @KirbyRobot have his hands on one of my yoyos.

Yeah, Rebirth, SYFO, Hobbit Gungnir, Tomo, etc.

The new horizon YYF?

Ngl, I think this one deserves an bump up to SS :downcast_face_with_sweat:

Could you review the UNPRLD Motif or the Hash? Those two are very interesting yoyos.

Sorry for disappearing off the face of the planet, I said imma fight university this semester and university had hands

Absolutely zero interest. It’s a wilderness with a tacky fingerspin groove.

If I get a chance to play with one soon we’ll see.

I’ve tried the motif in the past; it’s not really my cup of tea. My vague memory of it says it was too light and not powerful enough.

More reviews are coming, both video and typed. I’ve just been genuinely going through it in ways thats made it so being analytical with yoyos isn’t something I can be assed to do lately.

If I could I get a Flying Lemon to you, would you review it? I mean, you’ll tear strips off it, but I still may be interested.

University is a grind and i think i saw somewhere you are going for engineering. Getting through that was the hardest thing I’ve ever done mentally. Just gotta stick with the grind and enjoy the feeling of getting through something you never thought you could. We all believe in you bro.

:fire: OneDrop | Rainier | S-Tier :fire:

Specs:
Diameter - 56.4mm
Width - 48.4mm
Weight - 64.4g
Materials - 6061 Alu

This is the exact type of yoyo I wanted the ThruLine to be, everything the ThruLine should have been, and everything I’ve been looking for from OneDrop in a yoyo.

Probably one of my favorite EDCs because it’s a very flexible and generalist yoyo. Lovely shape and weight distribution make this a joy to play with.

I debated putting it in SS-Tier, but I think to really get it over the fence, it needs some design tweaks. Couple mm wider, maybe an extra gram(?), and just less gorilla grip with the binds.

Play: Competitive

Power: Powerful
Speed: Average
Controllability: Easy
Stability: Average

Value: Bad
Bind: Snaggy
Sturdiness: Play Hard

Sure, if you really want me to.

Wished this yoyo was 7075 and then OneDrop trolled me by dropping the 7075 version okay.

Man, I was stoked to try this yo-yo. It’s one of those yo-yos that everyone hears about but not everyone gets the chance to try, so the second I saw someone at my club with one, I immediately grabbed it.

Man.

On paper, this thing should play great, draupnir-esque. But it just doesn’t. I even had a Draupnir to compare it to at the club meet.

It’s way too dainty and light. It felt like playing with a hybrid that had the rings removed. It didn’t spin long at all and had no power. It was just… weak. Needs more rimweight, or mass, or something.

Otherwise, it was… fine. I wasn’t offended by its existence like the Comic Sans or Naja because it’s a cool yoyo, just doesn’t play super great. With the developments in MG/SS I’d love to see a tweak to this.

Play: Oldhead

Power: Anemic
Speed: Fast
Controllability: Average
Stability: Needs Babying

Value: Terrible
Bind: Tight
Sturdiness: Average

If I spent that much $ on a yo-yo I’d say it was great even if It was mid

One thing I think needs to thought about is the trick set that is being thrown with this yoyo. he may say it’s a ok throw because it wasn’t the best for the trick set he runs and likes, while one with a different one may like it better.

Just thought I’d add to this I’ve never played this yoyo but good review!

People rationalize and hype up mediocre-performing but expensive purchases all the time. I would know. I’ve done it, and I’ll probably do it again  100% taking advantage of activity rn to catch up on my list

Ikimono Yoyo | Tomo | A-Tier

Specs:
Diameter - 53mm
Width - 45mm
Weight - 64g
Materials - 7075 Alu Body w/ Acrylic Rings

Undersized done right. Doesn’t feel like it lacks spin time or spin power. Solid little yoyo, plays good. Feels dense, though.

Probably one of the most aesthetically done correctly yoyos ever. Absolute eye candy. Excessively premium with the Ti axle and special pads (at least the binds are nice though lmao). The plastic rims are a breaking risk as well.

Play: Everyone

Power: Powerful
Speed: Fast
Controllability: Average
Stability: Solid

Value: Terrible
Bind: Tight
Sturdiness: Be Gentle

Are you gonna review and compare the Rainier - Boosted?

I actually really want to.

Main issue is that I have $0 rn, between Elden Ring Nightreign coming out, some stuff breaking that needs replacing, car registration, nats, etc. I just don’t have the money to get a boosted rainier rn
