I’m working on the trick nitrogen cycle and I can’t seem to get the rejection to work. Most often when I swing forward for the rejection the string stays put and I end up in a knotted Kamakazi like mount. I’m using the Yotricks tutorial video which doesn’t give many tips. Somehow I must be gettin an extra string wrap as I roll over my throw hand into the position for the rejection. Anyone have any tips?
I can get to that point easily enough and if I start from a wrist mount I can work on the last parts of the trick. Just can’t get the rejection step.
Focus on making sure the strings are hitting the wall of the yoyo and swing it hella far forward but dont move your hands forward like you need there to be tension on the string between the yoyo and your hands. Send a video if you still cant get it and we can troubleshoot. prolly moving hands too far forward and then there is not enough tension to get the rejection to pop off tho is my guess.
Well you were right about the tension. What I found was after the chopstick catch, as I uncrossed my arms for the first roll over my throw hand I’m bringing my hands close together to soon getting a bit of slack that lets the string start to bind. When I roll over my throw hand I either get an extra wrap or the Yoyo binds up.
