Actually, it probably could do with a bearing cleaning. I have noticed how, on mine, the bearing noise is louder than normal. Perhaps a good cleaning will fix both the noise and spin time.
Well I just did a deep cleaning of the bearing in my new Boss. By “deep cleaning” I mean I took the cover plate off of the bearing and agitated them in denatured alcohol. After reinstalling the outer plates and reassembling the yoyo the Boss spins a LOT longer and smoother. Now my reservations about it not having as good spin time are pretty much null. It’s certainly not quite as long as a larger yoyo but it’s way better than it was yesterday.
The bearing noise is also quite a bit quieter. It probably just picked up a piece of grit in the manufacturing/shipping process somewhere. Overall, it’s a very nice smaller yoyo.
How does the new Boss handle horizontal?
