I didn’t see anyone ripping either of those companies apart when they used these terms. There’s a post here on YYE where a member said they actually thought competition grade was better than a normal yoyo. But no backlash.
Lots of people hate the Yankees. It’s a function of being on top for so long.

I think the main complaint is that yyf didnt say it in bold on the top of the description. I agree that maybe letting people know a bit more clearly is better but the rest of the “oh dont dismiss and be mean to the community” is nonsense.
