Can someone help me. My new chief is completely responsive regardless which new bearing i use. 
How do you have the string on there? Are the response pads sticking out?
Just to clarifiy, you mean “it comes back when I give a tug”, correct?
BTW, what bearings have you used and what condition are they in and what did they come from?
