How do I tell if my throw is good/getting better?
Well you can tell by how straight the yo-yo is when you throw it down. If it’s tilting, keep practicing. If it’s straight, then perfect.
Another good way to tell is by measuring the time of your sleepers. That’s what I use to do when I first started. Like one week my sleeper would be 1 minute and 30 seconds, and the next it would double from the amount of practice that I put into it.
