Most discreet responsive yo-yo?

We also played with response on a few with flowable silicone with varying results.

The issue is consistency

If we modified something, and we are not able to reproduce correctly the modification, it’s not worth it.
Especially if such modifications brought extra pleasure .
Searching for the unicorn might bring more frustration than pleasure.

That is one way to look at it…

Most of the mods are repeatable. Across Different Yoyos.

I personally do not take Mr. Slestak75’s approach to modification. I am not that bold. And have learned a lot from his experiments.

BUT - Shorter Axels, Shims, and Slimmer bearings, different string thickness, responce… The yoyo can always be returned to “Stock” form.

Another Example; Recess Snack, Luftwerk Hybrid Fluvia and Spinworth Steadfast - All three yoyos designed for Unresponsive Play. I have “Half Speced” all three of them to make them responsive. I personally enjoy them playing in this new configuration. However, there were NO permanent changes. All three of these yoyos can be returned to stock form.

The “Modification” can be really simple and repeatable. Change Axel, Change Bearing, Add a shim or two. Then you have the string thickness. Use Thicker String if it is not responsive enough. Use Thinner string if it is snaggy.

Waouw ! So cool your Monkey Fists !

I’m also beginner in the Paracord world.
I already find it very satisfying.

Can’t wait for my first DIY monkey fist !

…I tried a little Monkey Fists , the knots are simple , but the end (tightening), is painful … so I stopped and am now waiting for all the Paracord diy “mini-tools” from “China China”
to do it in a comfy way, and not having the skin of my fingers destroyed.

Also on Paracord , It took me a week to learn the “Cow Hitch Variant” , the one with 2 loops…. I’m good now , it’s beautiful,
but to get there…

Also love my half-spec ceramic bearings (R188-3,175mm),also from “China-China” it’s like butter , even took a very close pic (with an IPhone macro gadget)

Yo, you sure are going all in with the equipment. It took a while but the hurting underneath the fingernails stopped over time :joy: But I sure always do envy Weavers of Eternity for having his handy tools at the ready  Working with Paracord is awesome and it is always nice to hear when people are getting into it. There’s something about it to create sturdy objects out of basically a long rope. Knotting those knots also has something meditativ to it I feel. Enjoy the Cords :+1:t5:

Thanks for your reply.
Can’t wait to create bottle / jug nest for carrying , also enhancing simple not very functional objects with some Paracord , or even hanging stuff on yourself not entering a bag etc…

My king knot is the hangman knot.
We do not see many vids for obvious reasons.
I like the fact that you can choose different friction levels based on the number of loops. Also it looks beautiful and not “messy”

Before I posted the above , I wanted to translate from French to English the name of this knot, and a huge banner appeared on Google saying to call & seek help !!
