Mosquito friction stickers

I have a Duncan Mosquito. The friction stickers weren’t working anymore so I decided to replace them. Asking around on the forums I heard that silicone friction stickers would be a better replacement for regular friction stickers. I just put 12mm duncan friction stickers on my mosquito and now it has no response at all. What do I do?

Choices:

  1. Buy the original friction stickers.
  2. Learn to bind.
  3. Apply a small drop of oil to the bearing.

Applying a small amount of oil is probably the easiest way to increase responsiveness, just don’t add to much.

Thanks! What kind of oil do I apply? And where? I’ve heard of thin and thick lube. Is this what I want to use?
