Dude same here!!! It’s been driving me nuts for months now. I had a memory of some kind of black and white skill toy from my childhood and couldn’t even really remember if it was a yo-yo even, but I knew I really wanted it. This is totally what I was thinking of. It’s an old hazy memory.

Holy smokes! I’ve never taken mine apart so I always assumed it was some sort of rubber weight that gave it some more heft from pics I saw on the internet. So… the question for me now is… was the Renegade the first to implement this metal ring inside or on a plastic yoyo? It feels like an early reincarnation of a yoyojam or something.
