thank you!
Finally yāall are doing injections
Anyone make any progress on this one today (monday)?
I feel like Iām 2 or 3 weeks behind. Iām just now starting to get Kamikaze downā¦but that was from 3 weeks ago. Today I was doing pretty good with Superflowā¦but that was a week ago!
lol
Not much progress on the Duck Pond for me today.
Iāve landed in the chopstick mount a couple of times nowā¦but Iām still at the point where it feels super awkward. Iāve got a lot of practice to put in so that it stops feeling so weird. I think once I get use to doing it, itāll become a lot easier.
Iām about the same as you. Iām getting more consistent with the chopsticks part, but still not anywhere near being able to do it reliably. Having fun with it though. This is going to be satisfying to land
Looking like Iām learning chopsticks today
Thank you for the tutorial @twitch77
I have been making great progress with chopsticks.
Also a little fisting at the end as well
first few tries of Mexican Duck Pond were bad now iām kind of ok with it itās still very awkward but iām working on it
lmfaoā¦that was the best!
Nice dude! Have you done a complete pond with the gyro?
yep! itās very awkward but iām working on it!
haha thatās awesome man!!
Iām still very inconsistent with the chopsticks mount, but, when I land that, I can finish the trick. Right now, it is more of a Mexican Duck Puddle than Pond, but, it is only Tuesday of a Holiday week!
lol Iād like your postā¦but YYE wont let me share too much of my love!
But this is pretty much where Iām at with the mount used in the Duck Pond trickā¦though I havenāt given it a go today yet, and I feel like I was making some slight progress on it last nightā¦so Iām hopeful!
The proper way and easiest way of doing chopsticks is to not jump up, but to roll it over. Swing a little bit to add momentum and just roll over the thumb. Its all about the flow with chopsticks.
Akiba has a great tutorial. He is the chopstick expert, and his signature yoyo is even called the chopstick gorilla.
Thank you David Iāll try that method.
I feel like I need to have my hand more parallel maybe (as in my finger and thumb parallel to the ground) to maximise space.
Yea when I learned chopsticks it was difficult but the main tips that helped where that, to keep the fingers parallel to the floor, flow it, and to also make sure the string was in the right place
I can see in your vid that your trapeze is too small. You gotta make it bigger. You got the right technique in the roll over but the trapeze is too short so you bonk your thumb.
Thanks for posting this @Imdavid122. Fantastic tips here!
Havenāt gotten my practice session in for the day yet (usually donāt get them in till late evening)ā¦but these tips are just what I needed!
