Tricks to learn next?

Hello,

I was wondering what tricks you guys recommended to learn next based on what I can do now, because most tricks are starting to seem pretty daunting now when I watch videos.

My hardest tricks I can do:

Skin the gerbil

Cold fusion

Matrix

Rewind

Black hops

kwijibo

Kamikaze - can get into kamikaze a few different ways and can do the entire kamikaze trick

super flow

buddahs revenge

pop n fresh/ barrel rolls/mach 5/ split the atom

magic drop/shockwave

bouncy triangle

pops

basic suicide trapeze

basic finger grind

plastic whip/jade whip

Gyroscopic flop

Ripcord/ wormhole

Dr strange

have a few aeriel binds/guy wright bind

eli hops/boingy boing ( I can do these but it doesn’t boing as much as some people I see)/sea sick

Are there any tricks I should focus on next? Everything I find nowadays seems really advanced/hard to learn but maybe that’s just what I have left to learn now? I really enjoyed learning kamikaze though it took me awhile. Black hops was fun to get down too. I was mainly wondering if there were any obvious tricks in that difficulty range for me to learn?

Thanks that looks like a good one actually for me. The only thing I haven’t really hit before is that keychain at the end.

I would recommend learning candy rain 2 (the repeater version), branding, doctor strange, gyroscopic flop, and ripcord, these are all around your skill level.

Ah thanks I appreciate it. I’ve never seen branding or candy rain 2 before and they both look cool / reasonable to learn atm.

I can do gyro flop/ doctor strange / ripcord / wormhole but forgot to list them.

Thanks again

Yuuki Slack is probably good for around your level.

Also a quick and cool and fun thing you can fold in is to start tossing suicides from 1.5 mount to trapeze. Just like your trapeze suicide but instead of trapeze to trapeze, 1.5 to trapeze.

How about this one?

It’s a beauty… And that video angle is so clear and the speed is just perfect to be able to pick up the segments much easier than some. I’ve seen over the years. The focus, the contrast, the angle, the speed, the visual quality of the trick, actually makes this a pretty good choice. I’m pasting a link, but I didn’t even notice who the yo-yo player is or where he is from?

As a matter of fact, I wasn’t even looking for a trick. It showed up in my Instagram this morning and I was like wow look at that? Is that cool or what? So here it is.>

So it appears I accidentally hit a goldmine. The player it appears, has been around the block a few million times, lol. I just wasn’t paying attention. But I certainly am now.

About 55 years ago, a professor told me that if I went on a one week vacation every month of the year and traveled around the globe and literally looked at everything around me and took in all the sites that I could every day of each trip… And I live to be 120 and actually passed away peacefully on the other side of the world during one of my monthly trips… That I would have not even seen one percent of all the things there are to see on the planet Earth.

Obviously, there’s no way of knowing how that could be even remotely accurate? Other than the fact, if you think about it, however, old you are and however, many places you’ve been on your own or with your family intentionally or accidentally, every day you’ll see something different. And that will happen every day of your life.

I just think back to what he said, occasionally what I think I’m paying attention to what’s around me. But even when you’re not really looking for something, it hit you right in the face and you say wow look at that. I’ve never seen that before.

And here we are. Life is an adventure… As the old saying goes.

all of these seem to be a bit too difficult for me at the moment… think i’m going to start with seismic slam because it kind of seems maybe only a little bit more difficult than kamikaze/black hops

Seismic Slam is the first one I’m trying to learn. Surprisingly I’ve had issues with the first part, after triple or nothing going over my non throw hand and back over my throw hand into double or nothing. Watching the video I thought this element was going to be easy but it’s been a pain for me. Just starting to land it sometimes now.

sesmic slam forces you to learn how to keep the tension right or else it snags
you have to make sure the string is taut while you go around your hands
