And when you reach 120, everything you saw earlier in life will have totally changed by then… We really know nothing. I feel this way a lot when I discover awesome music that people have already been enjoying for a couple generations.
The ToN to DoN part is driving me absolutely nuts. I can do the transition just fine a bunch of times and then suddenly I can’t anymore and it just keeps snagging/binding. Took a video to look at and I can’t really tell what I’m doing wrong. And when I actively try to pay more attention, or try to do it differently, I can’t even get out of the ToN anymore because my hands lose all hope and just bump into the yoyo when trying to hop/roll it over the NTH lol
I’ve been trying to get this trick down for so many weeks now I’m getting more discouraged every time I fail it at this part. I feel like it’s probably quite easy and I’m just a tad too dumb or something. 
Don’t you believe it. You know how long it took me to learn Kwyjibo? Almost a full year. “Simple” does not mean “easy.” If this trick is burning you out, take a step back and either chill with what tricks and elements you do know, or look for a different trick to learn. There is no norm nor expectation for learning tricks. Learn at the pace that works for you; look for tricks and elements that appeal to you. The rest comes with time and patience, a medium that quantifies differently for each individual

I’m way behind. Or maybe backwards… Having trouble finding an intro slack trick that I can wrap my head around. Anyone have a suggestion for a simple slack trick that could possibly be learned on fixed axle, since that’s mainly what I throw?

Barely got regular brother… I’ll look that one up. Not sure I’m quick enough to get a fixie to do a kamakazi whip yet. But I do want to break out the Bumblebee or Arrow in the near future and give it a stab.

Oh yeah. I think I might be able to handle brother slack now. Probably still want the cheater yo yos until I get it sorta smoothed out.
Haha, I guess you’re right. It’s not quite burning me out just yet. I do have some other tricks to fall back to, but this one’s still fun to grind and I feel like I’m definitely improving. So it’s not like I’m completely stuck. It’s just that suddenly repeatedly failing that part can be frustrating.
And oh yeah, I noticed Kwyjibo is definitely much harder than it seems. Reminds me I should practice Eli hops more. I feel like that’s more tricky than on first glance, too.

That second-hop catch is no freakin joke. I can never get it through the throw-hand opening. This trick almost made me quit yo-yoing because a lot of “gate keepers” use this trick as the “are you actually good” bar. Have heard the “they don’t even know spirit bomb” in disparaging way, after trying endlessly to land it and felt real bad, even though it wasn’t directed at me. It’s difficult, especially responsive.
Though I did NAIL it in front of an intern while causally chatting about YoYo at work the other day, so I’ll take it.
Given OPs trick list tho, I would agree, time to start bombin’

even if not complenting spirit bomb, its good to get used to the wrist mount
fwiw i still cant do kamikaze or wax on wax off reliably, we all struggle with differnt tricks
