Time flies… like a yoyo! Faster then we think at times. My turn to pick! SUICIDES! LET get more pointless tosses in our combos!
This week’s challenge is to learn and use 1 new suicide toss. I don’t know what u know… hopefully u know what u know. Let’s let some creative juice flow!
So my side style suicides are coming along great… can hit 6 clean in a row but that’s my record. Branding type suicides are also very consistent.
Front side are… let’s just say i now know they are possible.
I feel you on the frontstyle suicides, theyre…odd at first lol.
I feel super confident in GT suicides though. The loop always stays wide open! Aside from the stuff in the video, I’ve been working on 1.5 to double or nothing and keychain tosses too.
So satisfying to catch a nice floaty toss just right
This is a fun looking original trick made and taught by @anon17117379.
It’s not the easiest one to learn, but I believe mastering this trick will arm you with the knowledge of elements that can be used in wide variety of applications and will be useful in everyone’s onwards journey to being a yoyo master gym leader gotta catch them all.
Gotta love that funky flow of Yuuki Spencer’s tricks! This one seems fun and unique without being crazy difficult. Also seems easy to tuck into the middle of a combo. Happy learning!
The tricks you guys are picking these days remind me why I’m glad I’m no longer part of this Trick-A-Week. They’re years ahead of me and everyone else who use to follow this weekly challenge.
I’d just be continuing to beat myself with a sledge hammer trying to hit tricks in a single week that are insanely out of my range.
This week’s trick sure looks good…but unless you’ve got years of experience to build off under your belt, it’s not really reasonable to expect yourself to land it inside of a single week.
If it makes you feel any better i have not been able to complete a trick in a few weeks.
But i keep learning new elements that i can use in other combos. The first move is a very cool way to get aGT. Then i decided to try a GT suicide which was far easier then i thought… you can deff do the same. Trust me bro just watch these tuts at 50 % speed and you’ll pick up something new every week.
And that’s what it’s about, not checking off a trick (that’s sometimes unreasonable to expect to learn in a week), just getting better and learning new stuff.
And those harder tricks get easier pretty quick if you start using elements from them in your own stuff. Once some of the elements become almost automatic there’s less to think about and you can focus on the harder parts.
Hi guys, I was wondering how you folks were handling MizzyDotion? I’ve been asked to revisit the tutorial, which I do plan to with some overhead footage and some better close up shots.
I just wanted to say about the trick, when I was making it up everything I put into the trick was based on this idea I had of wanting to help people learn some cool elements I liked doing, but packaging it into a trick. So like I said in the video, if you just learn an element individually its not as scary as the whole trick seems to look.
Thank you @MoonageMin for featuring one of my tricks!
