Moding an A bearing seat into D

Ive decided i want to make my new freehand into a D bearing. Does anyone have info on how i can do this?

The D bearing seems to fit in nicely but needs a little adjusting to allow a free flowing bearing

Is this for the Duncan Freehand One? The wall between the bearing seat and pad may be too thin for this mod. Basically you’d have to widen a portion of the wall so the larger bearing doesn’t rub on it.

A bearings are 5mm ID x 10mm OD, D bearings are 5mm ID x 11mm OD.

You just need to make the outer diameter larger to accommodate the 11 mm diam D bearing

Ok yea i wasnt sure if i had to do it that way or i could use some kind of spacer under the seat to raise it away from the wall. Thank i will open the wall up a bit

Good luck and let us know how it goes! I’d love to try a D bearing FH if it’s easy enough to replicate
