MRM 2025: “One Time, at Bearing Camp….”
Alright slimline slingers and thin bearing brigadiers, it’s time to dust off those modern responsives, and tune up those stalls (luckily, FAF has helped you with some of this), because MRM is BACK, and proudly hosted by the YoYo Boomer Club! This ain’t just some American Pie sequel no one asked for, this is Modern Responsive March, where we stall, spin, and moonwalk our way through a month of pure yo-yo nostalgia, this time with bearings!
We’re starting with some basics and working our way up, think of this as the Tony Hawk Pro Skater Tutorial Level. Kickflips, stalls, flips, and flow. The goal? Style. Control. Smoothness.
But Why MRM?
In a world where unresponsive yo-yos have taken over, Modern Responsive March brings us back to the roots, where every tug matters, every stall is a statement, and every trick has that buttery-smooth underground flow. MRM is about creativity, and making even the simplest moves look legendary. It’s the difference between button-mashing with Blanka and landing a perfect combo with Ryu. “Hadoken!”

We stayed up too late playing GoldenEye, so we’re still working out the specifics of sponsors and prizes. We will have drawings and there will be prizes. We will update this thread as those details become clear.
