I have these pair of crank modded hyper raiders with plastic spacers. I didn’t do the mod, it was already modded when i got it. I experimented with combination of plastic-metal spacers to get the setting that i want and suddenly one of the raider start slipping, the response i got is not as consistent as before. I tried changing strings and lube the bearing but it still slips. Then i changed back to 2 plastic setting and tried to tighten it back to the initial point but still, the gap didnt get smaller…i noticed also that another raider spins nicely when i tighten it to the usual tightness but this other one started to jam slightly halfway thru the tightening process. I tried to readjust because i’m afraid to strip the nut/axle, and it still cant tighten nicely as the other one. I suspect a slight bent of the axle but i still cant verify this visually. Or is this the sign of a worn out starburst?
