So, lately, I’ve been watching a lot of yo-yo videos on YouTube, and I’ve seen a lot of people redirecting their yo-yo mid-air, such as Grant Johnson in a 2009 DXL Battle ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PhdYuBv9JQ ) … can anyone make a video / explain to me how they do this? Thanks in advance for all help

If the yoyo is moving in one direction, you can change direction just by pulling on the string in the opposite direction. That is all I see going on here. ???
Although they move it in the opposite direction when it’s mid-air, it always goes straight down for me when I try to redirect it I’m trying to figure out how they flawlessly make it go back from a breakaway
It’s kinda one of those things that sometimes people will have a mental block on. I figured out how to make it look clean. It just takes practice; stick with it!
