My most random yoyo meeting was at a rest stop on I-5. My boys and I were stretching our legs and yoyo-ing on the grass. We looked over and there was a kid doing some fancy tricks with a DMII. We went over and showed each other our yoyo’s. We started talking about yoyo stuff, but the kid’s mom was in a hurry to get back on the road so they left.

I had a pleasant experience just moments ago when I was at Wendy’s waiting for my food. I was tossing the T9 around, doing some tricks when a parent comes up and tells me that I’m pretty good. A few moments after, be brings his daughter over to see the stuff I can do. Afterwards before leaving, he told me how glad he was to see me doing tricks and explained about his 5-year-old nephew who is really into this stuff. He then showed me a video of his nephew doing some pretty cool stuff such as behind the back eli hops at a fair. He made about $250 that day doing so. So I didn’t directly meet a yoyoer but ran into someone whose kid is extremely into it…which all started with a parent buying them something to keep them from getting bored.
