There’s some serious heat in your collection man. Would be totally interested in picking up multiple if you were doing PayPal G+S. Were you using the Friends and Family option on PayPal when you got burned? Because using PayPal G+S protects buyer and seller, so if you were using that I’m curious as to how you got burned (genuinely would like to know).
Hmm… PayPal also goes directly into your bank account and doesn’t have any fees as long as you ask the buyer to cover them (most everyone will if you just ask, it’s kinda the standard). If this is your only reason for using Zelle, I’d say that’s a pretty big red flag because it would make literally no difference to you and would offer buyers zero protection.
Again, even if I never sell them that is ok and if I do that is ok as well. I wont be changing my stance on this and you are free to not purchase from me. I think that this topic is getting redundant though. I put the warning on my post and plenty of comments here should tell someone to be wary.
@DCM92Lude I don’t know this forum well and reputation here really means little to me in terms of who I sell to as long as I get my money. I get I am the minority but that is how it is.
@Isaac That’s fine, I don’t need to sell these and I don’t mind keeping them. I just posted this as an option.
@fatguysnacks247 I used to buy on facebook’s bst and I always had a good experience. Truth is I might actually post there as well since it seems like people cut the bullshit there and keep it simple.
@SR1 There have been a couple cases where I never got my money for selling items due to a faulty dispute. While PayPal protects buyers, as a seller I never felt protected by them. Not related to this situation but I had a pretty massive struggle with PayPal allowing monthly charges after I attempted to cancel them via PayPal. Overall, I don’t deal with PayPal anymore unless I HAVE to (only as a buyer).
So you’ll accept protection as a buyer on PayPal for yourself but won’t offer it for others? Any other BST is going to be equally skeptical, and if they aren’t, I will let them know. This all sounds very suspicious.
I already put the warning up. FYI I would never even purchase with paypal on a BST…I only use paypal when its the last means of something I am buying retail (G2A for example since my banking company does not like it when I use my card directly on that site for some reason). You can warn as many people as you like, I already have a warning on my post. I would appreciate if people would stop flooding the comments about this…I am not breaking any rules (that I know of) posting my terms for buying. I would kindly ask that any more inquiry about this is done in DMs…though it will get nowhere.
I don’t understand if facebook BST is a joke on here or not…but I would appreciate it if we could drop this childish back and fourth on the comments. As stated in my last post, DM me if you want to discuss this further for some reason. These comments are getting redundant and I assume you fellas dont like the same post constantly bumping forwards.
We are looking out for each other (as well as new people who may not know how things work). Historically, the instances of buyers being scammed far outweighs those of sellers being scammed. Frankly, I have never personally heard of a seller being scammed here or on other BSTs. In the 100+ transactions I’ve made with yoyos alone on PayPal (far more with board games), I have never been scammed.
As others have said, maybe try and reconsider your terms. I would rather not DM you about this.
But when is enough enough? Are we forever going to discuss this?
@Benmichael86 I won’t, as I have stated a million times and I am starting to get irritated…I don’t care too much if I sell these or not. This is just an option to fund another hobby of mine…while I don’t really use these I still like them. If they don’t sell…fine…if they do great! I’m not changing my terms…sorry.
It’s good that you’re okay with them not selling, because they won’t. Guaranteed. Fatguysnacks even offered to use zelle but that wasn’t good enough. If you’re getting irritated at this point, everyone else has already been irritated with this. They are trying to help you man
No reason for you to be irritated, they are not yours to sell. I have heard their advice and I agree with them…if I was looking to sell soon. I’m not…so I am content with the terms. I am not sending out any yoyos before payment, sorry.
Many trusted people in this community have shown you the best way to proceed with selling your throws. One even volunteered to use your method of payment, despite you having no previous feedback. If you have no intention of changing your method, and are in no rush to sell, I’d look for somewhere else to post your goods.
I just hope it’s clear by now to any newcomers reading this that buying from this guy (or anyone who insists on only using an unprotected payment method) is an absolute NO GO. It’s just so odd that someone with ZERO rep is insisting on this so hard. I just don’t want anyone getting scammed. Zelle should only be used with good friends and family you know, not someone on a forum with no rep/feedback.
This will be the last time I post on this subject. I am only taking Zelle payments, understand the risk involved with it before purchasing with me. People on here seem to think I am trying to say Zelle is not dangerous on a bst purchase…it is and you should listen to the people warning you. I am not in a rush to sell these nor do I need to sell them (I am financially secure beyond the norm). I just don’t use them anymore and thought that they could go to a better home and fund my more recent hobbies even though I still do like them. You guys can keep posting the same warnings over and over but I am tired of repeating myself. Zelle only. My terms only, my throws. You can ask for specific pics via DMs if you are interested in any, the KLR might be gone soon though so that one is on hold.
In the interest of protecting overly-trusting and naïve buyers, I’d recommend a Moderator consider locking this thread.
This has numerous red flags to anyone who’s been here for awhile and is probably going to burn an unsuspecting buyer badly. The seller has a complete disregard for transactional safety. There is no need to take this level of risk as a buyer – if it seems suspicious, it probably is.
