With my yo-yos, once i use them for very long, the bearing starts to make really loud noises. I will clean it and it will be silent for a while them kist switch back. It doesn’t affect spin time, just is irritating and people ask me to leave the room. Does anyone else have a similar problem, if so, what do you do about it?
It is most likely just the bearing breaking in. If it is the bearing breaking in the sound will not go away, however you can buy a onedrop 10ball bearing and lube it with some thin lube and it will be dead silent.
Its gunk like metal scraps and string lint building up in the bearing. Every dry bearing i have does it. Just clean it and play until the next cleaning. Lube it if you want to or you can run dry.
