That would normally be a good option but my parents don’t trust bst and don’t let me use it. Thank you for the option though
They play great!!! I highly recommend an 888 if you’ve never played one! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that. Plus… I mean it’s got hubstacks, let’s goooo
I’ve wanted a 888 for a while and that seems like a good idea. I’ve wanted a hubstack yoyo for a while but never actually bought it. Thank you
I cant decide between these two they both seem really good but which one would be best for someone who also wants a fun yoyo and a really well performing one e
- Chobi Gorilla
- Yoshicuda X
My choice isn’t very useful as I’ve not tried the Chobi, only the Yoshi. But I have a few because I love them so much. I have tried a few very well regarded competition oriented throws and the Yoshicuda is no slouch at all when it comes to stability, spin time, and power… but at the same time it has a sporty, agile quality as well that just makes it super fun to throw and it’s my best performer. I’m happy enough with it that I don’t look any longer for a performance throw. I really wish I had both so I could compare but specs would indicate they are very different throws. At the very least it’s bi-metal vs mono, but the size difference is rather large. I can also add that the Yoshi is very comfortable in the hand as well.
Between the two, I think it comes down to a person’s definition of “fun”.
Yoshicuda X is closer to full-sized, and the larger diameter + weight ring will probably yield better all-around performance. So for something undersized with closer to full-sized capabilities, it might be the better choice.
That said, even if Chobi Gorilla is disadvantaged relative to a larger bi-metal, I think it has plenty of power and stability. It’s heavier than Yoshicuda X and has a lot of material in the rims (but that 67g is worth considering). The much smaller diameter also differentiates it more from a genuine full-sized and arguably opens up more play possibilities.
I am also biased towards the Chobi Gorilla because I am a big fan of Hirotaka Akiba’s style, and I wanted a Chopsticks Gorilla for ages before I could justify the price.
I love this.
the Yoshicuda X is really good, stable, and very comfortable in the hand. it has a great “fun” factor.
If you can find one, an Ace YoYo Gravitation Mini is really great for how cheap it is.
