I donāt think it bothers me as much play wise as it does just looking at it. What youāre describing (the small step), is āunattractiveā to me

This might decrease spin and/or wear the string.
I have felt this before, but never been able to pinpoint what it was. It happens so rarely that it doesnāt really bug me.
Iām positive Iāve not paid any attention to this and now the next time I give a stepped yoyo like this a throw Iāll be watching for the transition and then again on a yoyo that either has little or no step and see if maybe I can definitely add something to this thread.
