HAHA! Ya. It does ok but I dont think it was their design intent.

I wasnt sure what the BTH was so I looked it up…

Welcome to the forums BTW!! Hit up the introduce yourself thread if you havent already!

I ordered the titanium confusion, in hopes that it sleeps long… I am a little nervous about the responsiveness though. I hope it isn’t a knuckle buster. The BTH spins like 30 minutes…

And it’s also 220 grams! >.<’ lol crazy!

You could rock the baby to sleep with that thing.

I am looking for one! Y’all hook a brother up :joy:

I bet if you sling it hard and throw it crooked; it would be safer to stop the spin with some gloves and re wind it…

Also, I have to add, my shooting star is a long sleep, quiet and perfectly responsive… not bad for the money.

I started throwing again in the end of 2020 after i quit around 2006.
When i picked it back up the yoyojam Hitman and the Hspin Pyro were the only two yoyos i had which are non responsive.
I had so much fun throwing my pyro wich i love deeply ( mostly because of nostalgia because lets be real that thing is a BRICK ) but i soon wanted to check the web if i could find a yoyo store in germany to check for something new.
I was super stoked to see a successor the pyro x and ordered it right away ( also bought a shutter b grade which i wanted to gift my brother but than dinged it on asphalt cause i wanted to try so i got me a shutter and ordered the same one again to gift lol ).
As the pyro x arrived and i played it for a while i realized how much better yoyos have gotten from what i had tried and owned in the past so i went on and bought a few
Meanwhile I capped myself at the number of 30 which im gonna hit soon because although i guess its compared to some of your collections pretty small but i don’t want to get lost in the act of buying and appreciate what i already have. Especially because it grew kind of fast in the last month before Christmas.

I started with organics because that felt familiar but my last purchases were almost all v shapes because i liked the Performance aspect on them.

I tried to organize from favorite to least favorite (not performance just liking )
From left to right top to bottom:
Hspin Pyro ( if i had to keep one and lose all would keep)
Luftverk 000 ( really really too nice)
Atmos Projects Khuno ( damn son, side effects bi metal performer, stunner , killer yoyo)
iyoyo x hspin pyro x ( bought for nostalgic reason but it plays so damn good its no joke and organic feel
Bequest Legacey ( looks stylish af and it actually plays really good also grinds are the best ive tried)
One Drop Vtwo ( first One drop , may need more the quality is crazy good )
Duncan Freehand One AL Unknown ( sadly came with stripped axle maybe gonna get it repaired one day )
Atmos Project Cloudberry ( colour rich and beautiful one of the best catch feelings imo)
Zipline x SF BMC ( Layed back Cadece … bruv fire)
G2 BanSShee ( don’t know why its placed so high i actually dont really like it so much most of the time)
Good Life or smth Pharaoh ( Best yoyo performace wise from my collection hands down love it )
66% Sleipnir ( its really small and more of a gimmick but yeah kind cool tho )
YoyoPalace Code ( really cheap really good also unknown or a-rt design you should pick one up … now)
SF SF - (cool colour nice yoyo)
SF Cadence ( better than SF but got a ding yeeah dont judge me)
unprld reduction ( so powerful yet pretty small would def recommend )
Duncan Freehand One AL ( since the other one was stipped i got another one ofc duh )
SF L ( recently got it because i was on SF hunt … i think its a little too light for me )
OD x SF SK ( should have placed it higher play wise its really good but idk it ended up down here)
unprld x topyo Antidote ( really good plastic but a little too light for me )
rso end 2 finale ( dont like in raw gonna get it powder coated )
getting tired last three : RCS Showpony, Mike Monty Memento and Shutter
Showpony is actually kinda cool but i guess i don’t really play that much with it because of the colourway , Memento and Shutter don’t really play fun for me

Here is my small collection:

1 – Edge beyond –powerful, very stable, good for all types of tricks, including tech, speed, meta, horizontal, grinds and finger spins, you name it… comfortable in the hand, but it hurts a little when it lands.
2 – YYF Bind - very powerful, but not so stable as the edge beyond. Exceptionally good for some tricks, such as speed combos, meta, horizontal, grinds and very good for finger spins, without a special hub… however its not very comfortable, very heavy and also hurts when it lands;
3 – OD VTWO – powerful for a monometal and very stable. Good for most types of tricks, including tech, speed, meta, horizontal, grinds. Not very good for finger spins and not very comfortable.
4 – Duncan Grasshopper GTX – powerful and incredibly stable. Very good for tech tricks. Although not exceptional, can do speed combos, meta, horizontal, and grinds and finger spins. Very comfortable.
5 – Unparalleled Flashback – My favourite yoyo at the moment. Powerful and stable. Very solid and pleasant feeling on the string. Good for tech, speed, and exceptionally good for horizontal. Because mine it’s a shinny version its not good for grinds, but its fine for fingerspins. Reasonably comfortable for a V shape yoyo.
6 – YoyoFriends Hummingbird – not the most powerful bimetal, but very stable. Good for most types of tricks, including tech, speed, horizontal, grinds and can do fingerspins. Very light. Can be difficult to control at high speed.
6 – YoyoFriends peregrine – powerful, stable for such a large yoyo. Good for most types of tricks, including tech, speed, meta, horizontal, grinds. More heavy and easier to control at high speed compared with the Hummingbird.
7 – YYR anomaly – very powerful and stable. Smooth, no vibe at all. Narrow. Comfortable.
8 – CLYW puffin 2 - powerful for a monometal and very stable. Good for most types of tricks, including tech, speed, horizontal, grinds and finger spins, but is narrow. Very comfortable.
9 – OD MCMO - powerful for a monometal and stable. Very comfortable. Good flow.
10 – OD top deck – not so powerful and stable as the MCMO. Very comfortable. Good flow. Also good for tech and meta. Not great for speed, grinds and finger spins due to its finishing. Can do horizontal.
11 – CLYW otter – stable and medium power. Very comfortable. Good flow. Good for tech. Not good for speed or meta. Can do horizontal. Good for grinds, but not great to finger spins. A little snaggy.
12 – Iyoyo Pyro - medium power and reasonably stable. Very comfortable. Good flow. Very good for regenerations. Can do finger spins.
13 – OD kuntosh - powerful for a monometal and reasonably stable. Comfortable. Good for most types of tricks, including tech, speed, meta, horizontal. Not great for grinds and bad for fingerspins.
14 – YYF wide Angle shutter – powerful for a monometal, but acceptably stable for a large yoyo. Good for most tricks, including tech, speed, meta, grinds and can do fingerspins very well. Very good for horizontal. Comfortable.
15 – Yoyofrinds sync- medium power and reasonably stable. Good for most tricks, including tech, speed, meta, horizontal, grinds and can do fingerspins very well. Comfortable.
16 – OD panorama - powerful for such a thin monometal. Very comfortable. Its challenging because its very narrow. It’s a very funny yoyo.
17 – Magic yoyo Hertz – medium powerful. Stable and comfortable. Good for all types of tricks, including tech, speed, meta, horizontal, grinds. Can do finger spins but its not great.
18 - Unparalleled recognition. Powerful, not so stable. Can do well most types of tricks, including tech, meta, horizontal, grinds and fingerspins. Comfortable, but its heavy and not good for speed. Its also a little snaggy.
19 - Iyoyo iceberg classic - Very powerful and stable. Can do most tricks, including tech, horizontal, grinds and fingerspins. A lityle snaggy and noisy.

If you were standing 6 feet in front of me and you patiently stood there while I read off my complete list of yo-yos….

…….by the time I finished and you decided to go get something to eat just to remember what food tastes like…

You would take one step forward and prolly die instantly after tripping over the Beard you grew while I was naming All my yo-yos.

Now…. On the other hand, if the challenge was to state my I.Q. by starting with the number 1 and and counting until I got to the actual number of my I.Q. Then that would only take about 3 seconds. Because anybody with as many yo-yos as I have, certainly can’t have an I.Q. Over 11.

Would you say the number of yoyos is more than 10,000? 100,000?

And final question if you feel so inclined, if you had to only keep one to play for eternity, what would it be?

Thank you for what you’ve added to the yoyo world yoyodoc, for real. I know some folks don’t appreciate your flavor, that was also me at first, but you grew on me, just like asparagus. Much love to you and yours yoyodoc.

I just started throwing again in the spring of 2020, after my granddaughter stumbled across an old cheapo Coca-Cola yoyo she found in the basement. At that point, I hadn’t thrown since the late 1990s; before that, it was the early 1960s. Now I’m hooked again. As I slowly add to my little collection, I have been doing a lot of research - because when you’re retired, you’ve got nuthin’ but time. I’ve also been trying to choose wisely, because when you’re retired, “fixed income” is a real thing! I can’t be grabbing up every shiny spinning thing that comes along. I’ve tried to choose throws that were well-liked by the “standard” reviewers, and the yoyo community in general. Also have been trying to choose throws that were unlike the others I already have in the box. Through this I’ve learned that I’m not a huge fan of extreme V shapes, like the Basilisk, or wide H shapes like the Death Adder. Both are wonderful throws, two of the best I’ve got - but they seem to be the last ones I pick up. At least for now. I find myself leaning towards the more organic shapes - the Arcade (first ‘decent’ throw I bought), Saboteur (LOVE that one!), Panorama (love that one too). Through Instagram, @edhaponik turned me on to fixed axle/responsive play, I’ve been looking for TMBR, and was thrilled to snag a Wood-Z and also a Day Tripper and from the Zipline B-grade drop on NYE.

If I were to list favorites, they would probably be the Saboteur, Daredevil, Legendary Terrarian, Panorama, Free Solo, Civility, and lately, all the fixed axle/responsive throws. I know that all this could change at any time, so none of the others are going anywhere anytime soon. Anyway, this is what’s currently in the box:

Throwback - Arcade, Civility Bi-Metal

iYoyo Iceberg (original)

Reticulated Return Tops = Death Adder V2

Zero Gravity - Basilisk (original)

GWAY Throws - Saboteur, Daredevil

Zipline Collaborations - SF BMC, TMBR Wood-Z, DocPop Day Tripper

C3 Speedaholic XX

Tom Kuhn - No-Jive

TMBR - This-A-Way/That-A-Way, and hopefully someday a DeHcade!

One Drop - Free Solo, Legendary Terrarian, Silhouette, Deep State, Panorama

YoyoFactory - Legend Wing, Shutter, Spinstar

I have also got a B-grade RBC in Scrubs colorway on the way; hopefully that will arrive this weekend. I’m anxious to see what everybody is so excited about. And I do mean EVERYBODY.

How does the grasshopper compare with the haymaker x?

I’ve got a grasshopper but I’m interested in the haymaker x

Yeah I’m not listing over 200 yo-yos on here then writing a memoir on them. I’ll pass on that homework.

A few words on my collection “it fun”

I used to keep a list of all the yoyos I own, along with an “Out” page of the yoyos I’ve traded/sold. I stopped a long time ago. Still have more yoyos than I want to sit and type out here. What can I say about my collection? Sadly it all mostly sits, I have about 6-12 yoyos that get regular play, the rest are in cases and boxes and may get 5-10mins of play every year or two.

I debate selling most of it quite a bit, but I have a lot of memories tied up in the ones I’ve kept, and my sentimentality gets the best of me.

On a real note I’m not gonna list even my fairly small collection of 30ish yo-yos because I will babble on and on even about the dollar store throws lol. I’m in the same boat as Aaron though where most sit in the case and several get thrown regularly. And I really don’t like that, I want every yoyo in my collection to be something I’d throw at least once or twice every week. Like the Addiction 2 for example, I could sell that and get an actual good yoyo I’d use all the time, but I don’t and it sits there because “Spyy”
