Ooooh damn, that’s a good idea!
Almost looks like they chucked them back up after cerakote (maybe B-grades?) and hit them with some scour pad. Just guessing. Reminds me of Borderlands/cell-shading, rad!
These are more my jam than the solid Cerakote. I love a finish with a little motion to hide the dings
OMGGGG!!! So sick
These look interesting and it’s great they are experimenting, but I can’t deny I wish they went back to their sick anodizing work, that to me still looks the best and I miss it.
A half swap Lilith and Orange Top Deck would be pretty sweet.
Has anybody else ordered a half swap cerakote??
Doubt it would be possible. You’d have to order a halfswap listing, then email them and get a response before the colors you want are sold out. Your best bet on these is to order the two colors you want and sell the spare.
If they ever do a Lilith Wizard and you want to halfswap green let me know. That or UV pink.
I meant has anybody *else done a halfswap cerakote? Check this out. Half swapped cerakote Top Deck! Ordered straight from one drop.
By the way if they do that drop with the wizard I’m super down to take u up on that
I was just wondering if anyone has tried to personalize the cerakote.
Just went to the website and see they have tested cerakote by the universal strength test of shooting it with a shotgun but I wanted to know if its absorbent.
I know it might be sacrilege, but would a sharpy ink or permanent marker bleed in the coating. Just wondering if anyone has tried?
These are cerakote.
Things get into the coating easily. I have some yoyo shelves that I spray painted and they get some of the spray paint color on them every time I move them on the shelf
Interesting. I wonder if it’s because the cerakote is harder than the paint. Kinda like how you can’t use titanium forks on a ceramic plate because the ceramic is so much harder than the titanium, so the fork leaves streaks in the ceramic.
Thank you dude, I noticed that there was colour bleeding into the cardboard OD box too (could be excess from mac shop). Thinking the chalky solid nature is possibly a wee absorbent of external sources and needs TLC. Its good to know.
I’ll put my personalisation on hold at present
Does anyone else feel like their yoyo is fragile now? Not the finish but the actual yoyo. Especially with my Weekender. It feels like a thin piece of clay. I’m always worried a piece of it is going to break off.
I don’t know about fragile, but the Weekender does feel like unglazed pottery. I like it.
Well said. And looks like it. I believe mine is getting a little greener as I throw it. I dig it.
