I like this finish on the Weekender, but didn’t care for it on the Top Deck.

I really like the Top Deck in general, but I think the Cerakote has a less predictable effect on the string. I’m not sure, it’s just a theory for now, but I get weird knots on the Top Deck that I don’t with other similarly shaped yoyos. For example, I’ll do a series of tricks on an anodized yoyo, all good. I do the same series on the Top Deck and end up with a knot or two partway through. Do it again on yet another yoyo and it’s fine. I think the Cerakote is grabbing the string and causing rejections and/or other unexpected effects.
Aside from that I’m loving it. That thing plays great and has a lot of character. I’d love to get an anodized one or their Pyramatte coating.

Pyramatte isn’t really a coating. It’s a type of tumbled surface treatment. It’s still anodized.

Which Cerakote Top Deck did you get? My yellow/black is smooth as if pre played. I’m using a thinner string, Kitty First Class normal. Responds same as my anodized version. 
My Cerakote Weekender though is snaggy.
I didn’t experience extra knots that on my Cerakote Top Deck, but I could see how it’s possible with some of the Cerakotes. The one I had was the UV swarm one like on the Weekender and it really changed the feel of the yoyo. Not talking about the feel in the hand but it just felt more dense in play and lost some of the Top Deck magic for me. I’d really like to try the newly release LF Lilith purple one since all the solid color Cerakotes I’ve tried didn’t have that same unglazed ceramic feel like the UV swarm.

I got the white and black one and am currently using a Project44 soft/medium, which I think is like a Kitty fat or Kitty XL in terms of thickness. Oh and I swapped out the 10-Ball for a Pixel, cuz I kinda hate flat bearings. My kid just played on it for 30-45min and he loves it, didn’t have any trouble. It could just be a me thing. 
I wish. Saw they released that after the white/blacks and yellow/blacks and was like, “Oh mother f’er!”

My cerakote top deck plays like a dream, it’s so quiet and smooth you can’t even tell it’s spinning. It’s like it was set up perfectly before being sent out. When i say it’s dead smooth… i mean dead smooth. Also, i use a pretty thin string and haven’t noticed any knots, it’s been flawless.

Bro relatable man. In the past whenever this would happen to me I’d be able to resist the new colorway if I just bought that Yoyo recently or at all. But I just realized as I’m typing this that all changed after I got my first one drop. This has happened to me three times now where I buy a Yoyo in what I think is already a cool colorway only to see a better one come along within a week. I’ve still tried my hardest to resist but on three occasions I just couldn’t. The three Yoyo were diorama, LT, and top deck. I chose to opt for a cerakote half swap on the top deck on that same drop you got one from. It’s the only half swapped cerakote that I have personally seen and thought that was awesome. Then came the liliths. And I had already missed out on the Lilith reboot and wasn’t gna let it happen again. So I caved. Did the same thing with the other two throws as well. So now I have 6 yo-yos where I really would prefer to only have three. And wondering what to do with half of them.
The yo-yos on the left side of each pair were the first ones bought, then within a week the ones on the right popped up.

The Lilith is the only one of the bunch that 100% staying 
. Sorry. In all honestly the ones I may try moving to a new home are gna be the green LT which is tough cuz greens my favorite color, the half swap cerakote which is also gna be kind of tough to let go, and one of the dioramas most likely the pink cerakote…. Eventually

Thanks they even have the matching black anodized cups which is what really makes it awesome. I feel like the one drop boys did this intentionally with half swaps in mind and I’m surprised more people didn’t get it like this
Luckily I’m too cheap to buy a dupe just for the colors. I will, however, get another one in a completely different finish like anodized or Pyramatte. Do you think @da5id got the hint yet? 
As far as those Dioramas tho, dude, I’d have a hard time not pulling the trigger on those. I love the 'Rama. Easily one of my all time favorites.

So I don’t have a panorama yet but I have two dioramas. I keep telling myself I don’t need a panorama but the other half of me is saying I definitely need at least one of each. I was thinking of maybe trading away one of my dioramas for a pano. That way I have both and don’t have to come outta pocket more
I was thinking the same. I was wanting a Panorama for the longest time, but it was always out of stock everywhere. Then, by chance, the Diorama showed up on one of the online stores and I thought it was a Pano at first glance. After reading through the description and seeing it was essentially the next evolution of the Pano I went ahead and got it. Man, so glad I did.
