So I’m a poi spinner, and I was wondering if I could combine my two great loves (poi and yo-yos) and pick up 2a (which I used to main so I’m pretty good at it) with led loopies to sort of mimic led contact poi. Has anyone thought of this? Tia!

Yeah there’s a ton of over lap and I watched poi tuts to learn tangler but 3a and Aliyah tan has done 3a trick circles that are just like poi tricks but 2a and 3a have a lot of overlap with poi type tricks

There’s definitely overlap. If you pick up LED loop 2020s, they stay lit even when not spinning, which resembles poi a bit more than other LED yoyos.
The led magic YoYo loopers also stay on and are much easier to get ahold of

I perform with 2 LED 2a yoyos which I use as poi. I use UV lights to enhance the glow 
A lot of flow patterns look really good with yoyos.
