I know that your supposed to get a knot in your bind once in a while but it somehow always happens to me, even on a basic bind i still end up with a few knots in my string. Is there any way to prevent this, or am i just binding wrong?
You might just be getting a snag. This happens when the loop you throw into the yoyo is to big. Try throwing a smaller loop into the yoyo when you bind.

Look up “Fake binds” on youtube, I find that doing them makes the yoyo snag less
